By now, it’s all very basic knowledge to us how Kanye West bashed on Taylor Swift‘s You Belong With Me music video, claiming that Beyonce‘s Single Ladies was much more worthy of the prize.
Kanye blatantly made very public his favouritism for Beyonce. And here’s the golden question we’ve never thought to ask ourselves, “Did Beyonce have anything to do with all this?”
Its her video Kanye stood up for, right? Haven’t we ever considered there was some kind of complicity between the two? Of course not. Beyonce seems like an honest enough person.
So here’s the dish – according to MTV, Beyonce has told O Magazine that Kanye talked to her before the show.
“Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art. And he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award,’” Beyonce explained. “And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ And then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’”
Interesting! So there’d been some sort of forewarning this would happen. So why didn’t Beyonce do anything to stop Kanye, then? Or was he just simply unstoppable?
According to her side of the story, she knew he was up to no good! And she had no way to stop him from doing what he did.
In the end it was Beyonce who had the decency to invite Taylor back on stage to accept her award the way she should have.
