If you happen to be a Ke$ha fan you’ve probably seen the infamous video of her and her friends supposedly taking over the all holy Hollywood sign by throwing tarps over the giant letters to declare nothing other than… Ke$hawood, of course!
But, now inside sources are coming out with details on why Ke$ha would never be able to pull something like that off —
There has been a lot of news about a recent prank pulled on the Hollywood Sign. I want to inform you all that it is a fake. The General Service Officers who watch and protect the Sign 24 -7, have confirmed that nothing has happened to the Sign. By reviewing the footage, they noticed that the Sign is flat where as the actual Sign is made of corrugated steel. Also, the angle which the girls take off from the Sign is a 40 degree drop which would be impossible to run on, especially in heels. It saddens me that an up and coming celebrity would choose to deface the symbol which means so much to all of us in Hollywood. It encourages her fans to commit illegal acts and pranks on the Sign costing the city and its tax payers money.
I would like to remind you that access to the Sign is restricted and trespassing is illegal. It is for your safety, there are rattlesnakes, scorpions, and other dangerous animals as well as a steep drop and poor footing. The Hollywood Sign is meant to be a symbol of the hopes and dreams of Hollywood. Unfortunately, someone who currently is having all her dreams come true decided to pull a tasteless prank on a symbol that is meant to inspire her. If she would like to apologize to the Sign, donations can be made to the Hollywood Sign Trust for the upkeep and painting of the Sign.
C’mon did anyone actually even think this was real?!
People need to live a little and give props to a good prank when it’s due! The Hollywood sign is protected around the clock so there’s nothing to really worry about. We personally thought the video was very clever and entertaining, bravo K$!
