It was a given that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was going to pull in some big numbers at the box office, below is a break-down!
On opening day, Eclipse managed to bring in $68.5 million breaking the Wednesday opening record previously held by Transformers 2 with $62 million. It also managed to set the biggest record for summer opening ever, knocking the Dark Knight‘s $67.2 million into second place.
The film has also collected $16.2 million from the 21 countries it has internationally opened to.
On Thursday, Eclipse brought in around $24.2 keeping it in the number spot beating out The Last Airbender which debuted to an estimated $16 million (along with disastrous reviews).
On Friday, Eclipse brought in an impressive estimated $28.6 million bringing its cumulative three days box office run to $121.3 million!
