Exciting news for all you Twi-Hards!

On March 16, prepare for royal madness at every retailer selling the first ever Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1. There will only be 350,000 copies in its first printing; we can already see the headline, “Teenaged Girls Blow Vampire Dust In Each Others Eyes For Twilight Novel!”

Good thing the story is faithfully written by Stephenie Meyer, therefore we have no worries of losing her personal touch of Twilight! The drawings were drawn by the extremely talented Young Kim.

EW had the chance to speak with Stephenie —

The text of your original novel is boiled down so carefully that it doesn’t feel like anything is missing. Were you the one who did that?
I was definitely involved. I didn’t do the original “script” for the book, so to speak. But when I got the dialogue with the images, I did a lot of tinkering. In a couple of places, I asked for missing scenes to be inserted. For example, the conversation in the car that Bella and Edward have after she faints in Biology.

How does the feeling of reading the graphic novel compare to that of reading the original? Does it bring something new to the experience for you?
For me, it takes me back to the days when I was writing Twilight. It’s been a while since I was really able to read Twilight; there is so much baggage attached to that book for me now. It seems like all I can see are the mistakes in the writing. Reading Young’s version brought me back to the feeling I had when I was writing and it was just me and the characters again. I love that. I thank her for it.

When this project is done, are you done with Twilight?
I can’t say that I am done with Twilight forever. I’m not working on anything new Twilight-related now, and probably not for a while. But there’s still a possibility that I’ll go back and close some of the open doors.

Woo! We’re so excited to see what Steph has in the future for us! We would love to see another saga about Bella & Edward, Jacob & Renesmee, and the rest of the Cullens & Quilettes! Or maybe even a saga about the other vampires in different covens and so on!

As you may have known OMGCN attended The Twilight Saga: New Moon premiere and we had a blast! If you were following our tweets over @OhEmGeeCeleb you would have received some updates on the premiere and some sneak peak pictures we posted!

But, now it’s the time for all of you eager people who have been waiting to see all of the 600+ pictures we took over at the New Moon premiere! Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Stephenie Meyer, and all of the other stars were literally right in front of us, which gave us an awesome view to take pictures!

Anyways, you all probably are dying to see the pictures so without future delay…

Looks like Stephenie Meyer is making another book into a movie, and this time it’s not part of The Twilight Saga.

Hey guys, great news! The Host is on its way to the big screen:

I’m so excited to be working with Nick Weschler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They’ve all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we’re in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you’ve never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It’s such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I’m having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn’t take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I’m looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine.

So, very exciting. Yay Host!

How exciting! It’s no surprise someone would offer Stephenie a book-to-movie deal with The Host. Just look at the Twilight franchise, it’s only one of the biggest movies with a immense fan-base and has helped companies such as Hot Topic rise from the graves.

OME! This just in, the official soundtrack for the New Moon movie was released today! New Moon has got to be one of, if not the most anticipated movie this fall. So it’s no surprise we’ve got some pretty big names on this.

This playlist was first posted onto Stephenie Meyer’s website, earlier today. The only returning artist is Muse, though many great new bands have been added.

The following playlist contains ALL the songs that will be featured in the New Moon movie, which hits theatres on Nov. 20th, 59 days from today! Note that the playlist counts 15 tracks; which is 3 more than the soundtrack for the first Twilight movie. Does that indicate a longer movie? We sure hope so!
