Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Brings In $61 Million Opening Day!

It’s no surprise that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 was going to do well in the box office, but just how well you may ask? Domestically, the film brought in an impressive $24 million in midnight screenings at the 3,700 theaters alone and $61.2 million on it’s opening day at 4,125 theaters.

The film set the record for the highest midnight opening for a Harry Potter movie and the third highest midnight opening of any movie ever, just behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon & Eclipse with $26.2 and $30 million.

As for opening day records, the film stands in the fifth spot, behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon with $72.7 million, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at $68.5 million, The Dark Knight at $67.2 million and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at $62 million.

According to Deadline (via Warner Bros), the Deathly Hallows could be looking forward to bring in between $130 to $140 million which would put it right up there in the top 5 biggest opening weekends!

We couldn’t be happier with the achievements the movie has thus accomplished, it was such a great movie shot with amazing special effects, loved it!

Twilighters rejoice!

It’s your two favorite vampires, Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart in the backseat of a cab giggling as they make their way through the night in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday (October 10).

The two were joined with a friend as they had some sushi at the Matsuhisa Japanese restaurant, yum! We’ll be seeing tons more of KStew & RPattz when they start filming Breaking Dawn in the next couple of weeks, we can’t wait.

There’s been a major lack in Twilight news recently, but all you Twilighters can now rejoice for Summit Entertainment has announced the US release date for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse DVD; which will be on December 4, just in time for the Christmas season!

It will also be released in the UK on December 6! Here are some things you could look forward to from the DVD/Blu-Ray special features (2-Disc & BD/DVD Combo Disc only):

As you may already know The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be cut into two films directed by Bill Condon. Part 1 of the two films will be released on November 18, 2011, and part 2 will be released on November 16, 2012!

The astonishing conclusion to the series illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions, how exciting!

We cannot wait to see how they bring Renesmee, and so many other characters to life. And how they’ll be splitting everything from one book into two films! So much to look forward to!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Premiere, Stars Dress To Impress!

Yesterday was the world premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and the stars of the movie graced the black/red carpet in some hot fashion!

Stars in attendance include the cast of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and celebrities such as The Kardashian Clan, Aly & AJ Michalka, AnnaLynne McCord, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennie Garth, Lilly Collins, amongst others.

Let’s start our OMG Eclipse black/red carpet coverage! First up, the ladies!

Elizabeth Reaser was one HOT dazzling vampire mama last night, we absolutely loved her black beaded Zuhair Murad mini and ‘Fetilo’ meshed Louboutin pumps! Next up, Nikki Reed, she wore an interestingly feathered Marchesa frock and Christian Louboutin peep-toes, we love how Nikki took a risk (with possibly looking like an undeveloped bird), but totally owned it! Kristen Stewart looked absolutely lovely in a white Elie Saab mini with suede Louboutin pumps, the dress also had a cut out at the back which showed some skin, but that made the dress even more licious! And last but certainly not least, Tinsel Korey wore a gorgeous black gown (we aren’t sure of the designer), but either way she looked amazing!

Now it’s time for the gentlemen!

Alex Meraz and his killer looks ignited the “red carpet” along with his abs in a blue suit! One of the hilarious moments of last night definitely has to be when a fan asked Kellan Lutz this question (or demanded), “show us your Calvins!” In which Kellan delivered (BAM, check ‘em out to the right). “Hey, they asked me to,” he said… in that case, ask him more questions Twi-Hards! Robert, Robert Pattinson was by far the most loved last night, the fans can’t get enough of RPattz! He wore a maroon ‘Heritage’ suit by Gucci, which we thought was surprisingly refreshing since maroon suits aren’t worn to often on “red carpets”. Another crowd favorite, Taylor Lautner, kept it safe with the traditional charcoal suit!

Ashley Greene & Kellan Lutz Not Coming Back For ‘Breaking Dawn’ Installments?!

Twi-Drama, sit back and watch the claws fly!

Now that Summit Entertainment has worked hard to lock in the key faces to reprise their roles in the final installments of The Twilight Saga franchise — Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. The independent studio is having some trouble with keeping other actors and actresses intact with the Breaking Dawn movies such as Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz (Cullen kids; Alice Cullen & Emmett Cullen).

Ashley and Kellan are reportedly asking for $4 million dollars each to reprise their roles in the Breaking Dawn movies compared to the $750,000-$1 million initially offered per film.

As any Twi-Hard would know the importance the roles both Ashley and Kellan play in the final novel greatly increase, but the question is… Do they deserve the pay check they’re asking for?
