Movie Review
How exactly do I sum up James Cameron’s magnificent over-the-top action, adventure, thriller, and sci-filicious movie, Avatar?
It is absolutely amazing! Cameron has structured such a complex and diverse world that the second you let yourself divulge into the movie, you almost feel like you’re part of the movie with the breathtaking special effects and 3-D feature that you’re bound to become hypnotized by!
He’s gives the audience just the right amount of background information on mostly all of the characters, which somehow creates a binding force between yourself and the characters. You feel the emotions you see, which in my opinion makes the movie that much better.
This movie definitely appeals to many different kinds of people, it has a little bit of every major genre being action, adventure, fantasy, drama, and even romance! The love story between Jake Sully (played by Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (played by Zoe Saldana) is one heck of a roller-coaster relationship, it will keep you going the entire movie!
Let’s not forget about the movie’s music score by composer James Horner, who went as far as recording parts of the score with a small chorus singing in the alien language Na’vi. He worked with Wanda Bryant, an ethnomusicologist, to produce a music culture for the Na’vi. And of course the theme song for the film, I See You, is sung by none other than the amazingly talented British singer Leona Lewis. The song is absolutely beautiful, it’s so in sync with the meaning and purpose the movie reveals to the audience.
Overall, I highly recommend you watch Avatar for yourself; you definitely will not be disappointed! In our opinion, it is one of the best movies of this decade; it really has set a new bar for movies. And for guys looking to score a few points with the ladies or gents, this movie just might do it for you; they’ll be infatuated with the love story!
We leave you with Leona Lewis’s music video for I See You directed by Jake Nava and the official Avatar movie trailer (below)!
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
